He was a member of the Board of Governors of Consumer Attorneys of California. In 2014 and 2015 Ron Beck was named Super Lawyer, a distinction only 5% of Southern California Attorneys are awarded.

TODD H. HARRISON

Mr. Harrison has represented thousands of employees against some of the biggest companies and corporations in the nation. He has obtained millions of dollars in settlements, verdicts and judgments for injured employees and consumers.

Mr. Harrison is admitted to practice law in California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Harrison is a member of the Consumer Attorney Association of Los Angeles, California Employment Lawyers Association, and Los Angeles County Bar Association, Employment Law Section.

Todd H. Harrison has been named by Law & Politics, in conjunction with the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine, a Southern California Rising Star Super Lawyer in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, a distinction given to 2.5% of Southern California lawyers who are either under 40 years of age or have been in practice for less than 10 years. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Harrison was a two-time Emmy Award winning television broadcaster. BRENNAN S. KAHN

Soon after graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2008, Mr. Kahn joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin and Harrison. After working for PLBSH for eight years, Mr. Kahn earned his role as partner with PLBSH in 2017.

Prior to law school and joining PLBSH in 2009, Mr. Kahn acquired his Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in 2005, intending to use his psychological background for the benefit of his many future clients as an attorney. Since becoming an attorney, Mr. Kahn’s practice has been primarily centered in employment law, but also includes business litigation, contract formation, intellectual property, and business formation and structure. He also routinely performs pro bono work for a variety of destitute clients who need his assistance. Mr. Kahn is experienced in all matters of litigation including individual actions, class actions, contract formation, law and motion, depositions, negotiations, mediation, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, trial and appeals.

Mr. Kahn is currently admitted to practice in all California State Courts, the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central District Federal Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He is also currently a member of a variety of professional legal organizations including the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Consumer Advocate Attorneys of Los Angeles, and California Employment Lawyers Association, among others. Alvin Chang

Mr. Chang joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin and Harrison in 2007. His practice areas include serious personal injury and employment law.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chang worked at a boutique plaintiffs’ firm representing workers injured from occupational exposure to toxic chemicals.

Mr. Chang has extensive experience in litigation, including law and motion, depositions, and mediation. He has also successfully litigated cases before the California Courts of Appeal.

Mr. Chang is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Central Districts of California. Mr. Chang is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and Consumer Attorneys of California.

ERIC N. SCHWARTZ

Mr. Schwartz is a partner in the Workers’ Compensation division. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases and obtained millions of dollars for his clients in both negotiated settlements and judicial verdicts.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Sociology from the University of Southern California in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2007. He is the author of “U.S Security Strategy: Empowering Kim Jong-il?”, published in the 2008 Loyola International Law Journal.

Prior to joining Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin & Harrison Law Firm, Mr. Schwartz taught English in Japan and worked as in-house attorney for Sempra Energy. He enjoys sports and roots for USC football, Kansas basketball, the Lakers, and Chelsea.

JERRY C. CHANG

Jerry Chang is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Worker’s Compensation department and a Certified Worker’s Compensation Specialist by the California State bar. Jerry frequently serves as Judge Pro Tem at the Long Beach Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board.

Jerry joined the firm in 2010 after practicing extensively in contract and real estate law. Jerry received his B.S in Business Administration and Cinema Television from the University of Southern California and J.D. from Loyola Law School, receiving full academic scholarships for both institutions. As a seasoned litigator, Jerry has extensive expertise in all aspects of Worker’s Compensation law. His successful track record in obtaining considerable trial results and settlements is evident, as he has recovered over $75,000,000.00 for his clients in the past ten years. As a member of CAAA and CAALA, Jerry looks forward to advancing and advocating the rights of injured workers.

WILLIAM CARR

 NOSSCRMr. Carr focuses his practice on securing Social Security Disability and Workers’ Compensation benefits for his clients. Prior to joining PLBSH in 2012, he was a Supervising Attorney and Associate Director with a national Social Security Disability law firm. He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and has helped secure Social Security benefits for hundreds of disabled clients.

Mr. Carr received his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2010 where he was a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation. During law school, he spent his time volunteering and clerking in the public interest sector with a focus on helping under-served communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Mr. Carr received his bachelors degree from Emory University in 2005, graduating with High Honors. As an undergraduate, he was a member of the Varsity Baseball team and was named a Second Team All-American and South Region Pitcher of the year.

PATRICK HAWKINS

Mr. Hawkins joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin & Harrison in 2013. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of California, Davis. In addition to being a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Honor Society, he wrote for the student newspaper and completed two student internship programs in Washington DC. The two internship programs consisted of him working at the White House and conducting legal research for a prominent Capitol Hill think tank.

Mr. Hawkins went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During law school he was a member of the Bryne Trial Advocacy Team, Loyola’s nationally ranked competitive mock trial team. He also completed conflict resolution and mediation training at Loyola’s Center for Conflict Resolution where he performed mediation and conciliation pro bono legal services for members of the greater Los Angeles community.

JON DODART

Mr. Dodart joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin and Harrison in 2016, and exclusively works on securing Workers’ Compensation benefits for his clients. Mr. Dodart graduated Cum Laude from law school, and focused his legal education on trial and appellate litigation, serving as President of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dodart’s practice was intensely focused on civil litigation and criminal prosecution. While working for the United States Department of Labor-Employee Benefits Security Administration, he helped investigate and prosecute various violations of ERISA, including a $71 million dollar fraud case, garnering national media attention. In recognition of his advocacy for employee benefits, Mr. Dodart received a commendation from the Director of the F.B.I., the US Dept. of Labor Agency Award for Excellence and the United States Attorneys Office Law Enforcement award. As a Senior Associate Attorney with the firm, Mr. Dodart has secured millions of dollars in outcomes for his clients, and was recently awarded Southern California’s Super Lawyer Rising Star Award for 2020.

Mr. Dodart is admitted to the State Bar of California, and certified to appear before the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. He is also a proud member of CAAA, CAALA, and the Los Angeles and Orange County Bar Association.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Baskaron received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California Riverside. She clerked at a family law firm for two years before attending law school. During her time in law school, she was active in the Immigration Law Clinic and joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin, Harrison as a law clerk in the summer of 2016.

Ms. Baskaron was admitted to the California Bar in December 2017 after obtaining her Juris Doctorate in May 2017 from Western State College of Law.

Edward C. Hinojos

A proud son of California’s Central San Joaquin Valley, Edward graduated from Fresno State in 2012 with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to joining the team at PLBSH, Edward worked at another firm advocating for the rights of injured workers. Edward has been with the PLBSH since 2018. Like the rest of the staff at PLBSH, he shares a passion for defending the rights of injured workers throughout Southern California.

When not working on behalf of injured workers, Edward enjoys spending quality time with family and is a passionate life-long fan of the Dodgers.

David Arburn

Mykhal N. Ofili

Mykhal Ofili joined Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin, and Harrison in 2022. Mr. Ofili earned a bachelor’s degree, in Political Science, from California State University- Northridge in 2012. He went on to earn a law degree from Whittier Law School in 2015. During law school he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board, Trial Advocacy Team, and thePresident of the Public Interest Law Foundation.

After passing the California Bar in 2016, Mr. Ofili worked for civil litigation firm CKB Vienna, LLP in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Mr. Ofili then opened his own practice. As a solo attorney, Mr. Ofili handled hundreds of matters including Civil, Criminal, and Family Law cases. He has extensive experience litigating cases from inception through trial. Mr. Ofili was selected as a Super Lawyer’s rising star in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

When he is not advocating for his clients’ rights, Mr. Ofili is an avid sports fan. Fly eagles fly baby!

Randy Anthony Rivas

Randy Rivas grew up in Pico Rivera, California and attended St. Paul Catholic High School in Santa Fe Springs.

Mr. Rivas began working for the Law Offices of Larry H. Parker and Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin, and Harrison in 2009, as a Field Representative and Case Evaluator. After being inspired by his work and colleagues, he decided to return to school with the ambitious goal of becoming an attorney.

Mr. Rivas attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in Sociology. In 2016, he graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law located in San Diego, California.

In 2020 he moved to Palmdale, California to become a partner for a Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense law firm at the Law Offices of Loa Rivas and Cothran.

In January 2023, after gaining some valuable experience as a partner, Randy decided to move back to Pico Rivera in order to be closer to his family. He then returned to work for Perona, Langer, Beck, Serbin, and Harrison, as an associate attorney in the Workers’ Compensation Department.

Randy brings with him valuable experience in several aspects of law. He prides his skills on being a personable and a hardworking attorney with great communication skills. He continues to strive forward in his career goals, provide clients with the best representation, and advocate for their best interests.
